Ladakh in 4 days/Best 4 day itinerary for Ladakh

You always associate Ladakh with a week long holiday, which puts you under stress because family would be worried, boss won't allow, how will your husband & children manage, leaves & if you are into own business then you would be constantly worried about loosing out on an important deal or meeting. What if we tell you that you can cover Ladakh in just 4 days without the risk of Acute Mountan Sickness/ High Altitude Sickness/ Mountain sickness or AMS....yes Team Wanderwomaniya has the perfect itinerary for women travel groups of trips for solo women, to cover India's most photogenic Pangong lake, Nubra Valley, Khardungla (Highest Motorable road), Magnetic hill and much more (all this within 4 days).


*Do you know The Leh airport operates half day for civilians and rest of the day only acts as an army airport? It is a blessing is disguise as you can take a morning flight from Delhi and reach Leh by 8 AM so you pretty much have the entire day for acclimatization*


Here you go (The perfect itinerary for Ladakh in 4 days):


DAY 1 : LEH ( ARRIVAL ):

Upon arrival at the Leh Airport, transfer you to the Hotel, rest of day at your leisure and acclimatize yourself to high altitude. Stay overnight in Leh.


DAY 2 : LEH SIGHTSEEING:

After breakfast, ready for the full day sightseeing in and around Leh. First, visit confluence of Zanskar and Indus River, around 35 km away from Leh city, famous Magnetic Hill, later visit the Gurudwara Pather Sahib while going back to Leh. Then visit the Shanti stupa from where you can have the breathtaking 360-degree view of the entire Leh city and Leh palace. Later in the evening, you are free to explore the local market or to taste the Ladakhi delicacies in old cafes. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.


DAY 3 : LEH – NUBRA (Via Khardungla)

After sumptuous breakfast, drive to Nubra valley that is around 140 Kms and takes approximately 4 to 5 hrs from Leh through Khardung la (18380 ft.), hailed as Highest Motor-able road in the World). En route visit the ancient Diskit Monastery. Later head towards the Hunder village famous for Bactrian camels and white sand dunes. Spend leisure time at Hunder, enjoy the camel Safari in Sand Dunes. Later check into Hotel/Camps. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/camp in Nubra.


DAY 4 : NUBRA – PANGONG – LEH (Via Chang-la)

Today wake early, get the packed breakfast and proceed towards Pangong via Shyok. After 5-6 hours drive, reach Pangong. Explore the lake for couple hours and leave for Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.


Day 5 : LEH ( DEPARTURE )

Have breakfast, pack your bags and bid adieu to this lovely place with sweet memories. You will be picked up as scheduled and transferred to the airport for onward journey.
