Varkala with Jatayu Earth Centre (27 - 30 November 2025)

Day wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for girls traveling solo in India

Kerala, a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, and a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee, and spice plantations as well as wildlife.

The god's own country has a true blend of backwater, western ghat hills & lovely white sand beaches.

Varkala is a small town in Kerala with abundant natural beauty. This charming town sits nestled on the coastal stretch overlooking the Arabian sea & it isn't anything that you associate Kerala with! Imagine a serene cleaner version of Goa with fewer crowds.

Day 1: Welcome to Kerala

Reach Trivandrum airport, & head to Varkala. It is one of the most scenic beaches in India after Andamans & Lakshadweep. Reach your hotel and soak in the vibes of the quaint town of Varkala. Evening by the famous North Cliff of Varkala.

Day 2: Jatayu Earth Centre & Papanasam Beach

Wake up early and take a refreshing walk on the cool shores. Grab your breakfast and start off for some local sightseeing.

Start your day absorbing some peaceful vibes by visiting Jatayu Earth's centre, Jatayu Adventure Centre in Kerala has the world's largest bird sculpture. Featuring the world's largest bird sculpture, the Jatayu Adventure Centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam, Kerala is a one-of-a-kind theme park based on the Indian epic, the Ramayana. The ropeway ride is worth the distance. It was made to celebrate the sacrifice of jatayu to save Sita when Raavan abducted her.

Evening we will go to Papanasam beach which right below the cliff. there are tricky steps but they are worth going down to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Day 3: Mangrove Forrest & Kaapil Beach

Today we will visit Mangrove foreest in the backwaters . Most people visit Allepey and do not come here hence you get a non-commercialized backwater boating experience. We pass under various tree bridges and see the true beauty of Kerala. We will then stop for lunch and then visit Kappil beach where you can find backwater on one side and sea on the other.

This is one of the most scenic places in India and there is also a black sand beach here. We recommend soaking in and bathing in the sea today before we head back to hotel.

Do not forget to schedule yourself a traditional Kerala message when in Varkala.

Overnight at Varkala

Day 4: End of Trip

Today we have breakfast at the hotel and head back to Trivandrum airport for our flight back home.
