Triund Trek with Dharamshala & Mcleodganj - Himachal Pradesh (1 - 6 May 2026)
Day-wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for girls travelling solo in India
Want to experience the Himalayas but don't want a very difficult terrain, or want to start off with a trek but an easier one? Wander Womaniya got you covered. We are going to Dharamshala, McLeod Ganj and will do the serene Triund trek.

Day 0 - Delhi to Himachal
Join us at Majnu ka Tila at 8 pm (Exact bus time & number will be shared on the morning of travel date) & board shared Volvo semi sleeper bus from Delhi to Dharamshala (This is the most comfortable option to travel overnight to Himachal)
There will be a late-night stop for dinner, it will be self-paid.
Day 1 - McLeodganj Arrival & Bhagsunag Waterfall
Have breakfast upon reaching Dharamshala before we reach Mcleodganj. We will check in at our hotel & have rest until 4 pm after the overnight journey.
For Lunch explore the trippy lanes and many cafés, German bakery and what not at walking distance from the hotel (no transport included).
Post that, we hike to Bhagsunag Waterfall. Optional visit to the famous hippie Shiva café. (Requires climbing 300 stairs)
Overnight at your hotel in Mcleodganj.
Day 2 - Triund Trek with overnight camping
Have a sumptuous breakfast & head to Dharamkot as today we will begin the trek to Triund.
Have local himachali lunch en-route , carry some chocolates, drinking water and enough chips to munch along. Take a pit stop at Magic View Café on your way through Triund and chill around for half an hour. Sunset view at Triund top.
Overnight dinner& stay at alpine camp site. (The camps are basic with sleeping bags and a common makeshift toilet)
Bonus: Stargaze at night outside the camp
Day 3 - End of trek and Dharamshala local
Wake up to see the epic sunrise and have breakfast, start the descent to Mcleodganj. Upon reaching back to Mcelodganj - check in at the hotel and rest.
Visit the Dalai Lama Temple & Namgyal Monastery (Evening is free to explore the mall road)
Overnight at Mcleodganj Hotel
Day 4: - Highest Cricket Stadium & Bus to Delhi
Post breakfast checkout from hotel and visit the highest cricket stadium in the world, followed by St. John in the Wilderness Church, Dal Lake and War Memorial.
Take the evening volvo shared bus to delhi.
Day 5: Drop at Kashmere Gate
Early morning you will be dropped at Kashmere Gate in Delhi
