Spain on Foot & Rail! (01 - 8 August 2026)
"Foot & Rail" defines how are we going to explore Spain - using its excellent public transport! The tour buddy will guide you and assist you throughout, but we recommend you to pack light and travel in Europe like Europeans do. This is an active trip which will require a good amount of walking daily. (If you are looking for a traditional sightseeing tour, we would recommend you check out our Ireland trip or our other upcoming trips).
Day wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for women travelling solo.
Day 1: Welcome to Spain
Arrive in Barcelona, a travel buddy from team Wander Womaniya will meet you at the airport. Take the airport train to the city, followed by check, get rid of travel weariness and begin your fascinating journey.
Evening is free to explore and soak the vibe of a Spanish Summer.

Day 2: Sagrada Familia - Barcelona
Post breakfast we head out and visit the Sagrada Familia. We will explore Sagrada with a basic ticket (self-exploration), followed by Barceloneta beach.
Optional Activity: Flamenco masterclass - If you want to learn the basic steps of this ancient Spanish art followed by a brief professional show.

Day 3: Valencia
Post breakfast we will checkout from Barcelona and take a train to Valencia city. Its a beautiful approx. 4-hour train ride.
Upon arrival at Valencia, check in to the hotel and we will also visit Royal Basilica of Our Lady of the Forsaken.

Day 4: Old City of Valencia
Explore the city's Old Town and tick off highlights such as the Central Market and Plaza de la Virgen. Please note this will be a walking tour in the morning / evening.
Rest of the day we will spend at Malvarrosa beach.

Day 5: Valencia to Madrid
Post breakfast, checkout from Valencia and take the train to Madrid. It is roughly a 3–4-hour journey.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.
Evening is free to explore Madrid city

Day 6: Toledo Tour
Follow your local guide on a walking tour of the Historic City of Toledo, World Heritage City since 1986. Once Spain’s capital, it is a perfect mix of Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures. Learn about its fantastic heritage and see how the coexistence of cultures through the centuries influenced its current architectural style. Follow your guide through the city cobbled streets until you reach the Cathedral. Built on the remains of an Arab mosque, its construction started in the 13th century. Today, it is one of the most important Gothic Cathedrals of Spain. Admire the magnificent façade and the huge bell tower.

Day 7: Free day
Today is your free day where you can go shopping souvenirs or explore many of the day tours offered in the city or if you fancy a visit to the royal palace. Its completely your choice, the tour buddy will assist you however the transport / tour is not included.
Day 8: End of trip
Post breakfast, get dropped to Madrid airport for a flight back to India.
