    Day-wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for women travelling solo

     

    Day 1: Arrival in Uzbekistan


    We arrive at Tashkent International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Next, proceed for a half-day city tour, where we visit the following:

     

    • Khast Imam - Karasaray Street
    • Dzhuma Mosque
    • Independence Square
    • Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial

     

    We will end the day with dinner at Raaj Kapur restaurant- Raj Kapoor is as popular in Russia as he is in Uzbekistan too! This is a good restaurant where both veg & non veg food is available. 

     

    Overnight stay at Tashkent

     

    Day 2: Tashkent to Bukhara by Afrosiyab (Bullet Train)

     

    Today after an early breakfast we check out and begin our journey to Bukhara (4 hours train ride).  Upon arrival in Bukhara, transfer to the hotel for Check-in & rest. Evening free to explore the old city of Bukhara. 

     

    Day 3: Bukhara

     

    After breakfast, we begin with our full-day city tour of Bukhara. We will cover Ark Citadel which is the Early residence of Bukhara Emirs, and Boho Hauz Mosque which is famous for its stunning painted wood and carved columns.

     

    Next, we will visit Poi Kalon, Kalon Minaret, Masjid Kalon and Madrassah Mir Arab (from outside), Ulugbeg Medressa, Abdulaziz-Khan Medressa, Magoki-Attari Mosque, Toki-Zargaron, Toki-Sarrafon, Toki-Tilpak-Furushon. End of city tour & transfer to the hotel.

     

    Overnight stay in Bukhara.

     

    Day 4: Bukhara to Samarkhand

     

    After breakfast, we check out and visit  Samanids Mausoleum. The mausoleum is considered to be one of the most highly esteemed works of Central Asia architecture. Next, we visit the Chashma Ayyub complex & after lunch at a local restaurant we transfer to Bukhara railway station to take Bukhara-Samarkand train.

     

    Overnight stay in Samarkand.

     

    Day 5: Samarkhand

     

    After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing in Samarkand. Samarkand is known as the jewel of Uzbekistan. The domes, towers, and magnificent building arches decorated with mosaic patterns are sparkling in the sun and draw the eyes. Start the city tour with Guri Emir Mausoleum, Afrasiyab Museum & Registan square with 3 huge madrassahs: Ulughbek, Tillakori & Serdar.

     

    Siyab market is a great market to buy local fruits & dry fruits & even souveniors at good prices, negotiation skills will come in handy!

     

    Overnight in Samarkand.

     

    Day 6: Uzbekistan to Kazakhastan

     

    Check out from the hotel & get dropped to Tashkent airport for your flight to Almaty. Upon reaching Almaty transfer to hotel & checkin after long day.

    Day 7: Shymbulak Mountain Resort

     

    After breakfast, we will visit the beautiful mountains that you must have seen before landing at Almaty airport. We will head to Medeu which is a high-altitude sports complex near Almaty, located at an altitude of 1691 meters above sea level. We will take the ropeway and head level 1 where you can enjoy amazing views & quite a few restaurants. Activities like cliff jumping & rock climbing are also on offer (chargeable). However the best thing to do is take the chaircar to the top (2nd level - can be closed due to bad weather & is optional for whoever wants to go). On the top level you are most likely to find some snow to get some amazing pictures. Carry a jacket for today.  On the way back we will take the electric bus.  

     

    Overnight at Almaty

     

    Day 8: Almaty City

     

    Post breakfast, check out and leave for Almaty. We will see the following today:

    Zenkov Cathedral

    Old Square

    Abay Square

    Palace of the Republic

    Day 9: Early Morning drop to Airport for flight back to India

      The average temperatures range from 15 Degree Celsius to 25 Degree Celsius with an average temperature of 20 Degree Celsius, making it slightly chilly but a great time to explore.

      You can join solo, and we will pair you with another solo female traveller if you book a double haring room.

      Local Transportation is usually done via Tempo Travellers or Private Mini Buses (Comfortable with Air conditioners - except hills)

      Intercity transportation will be done by fast speed trains 

      In some cases, we might also SUV / Public Volvo (Shared with travelers outside the group / Cars / Multi-utility vehicles, etc as per logistical requirements.

    • Visa (Documents Required & Process)

      Uzbekistan offers an e-visa facility to indians. It generally takes about 7 days, better to apply 12 - 15 days before intended travel date. 

      Kazakhastan is visa free for Indian upto 14 days visit (subject to change)

       NOTE: Normal Check-in and Check-out time is 03:00 PM and 12:00 noon respectively in hotels. Early check-in / Late Checkout is available at an extra cost.

       

      NOTE: Airport transfer is at fixed time (depending on the majority of arrival and departure time of the group) - Any early or late transfer will be charged extra.
