Suraj Tal | Deepak Tal | Baralacha La - Himachal Pradesh (30 September - 5 October)
Day-wise itinerary specially designed by Wander Womaniya for budget solo female trips in India.
Day 1: Delhi to Manali
Start from Delhi in the late evening, in a shared Volvo bus (Semi sleeper AC buses referred to as Volvo) - Exact Pickup point will be shared closer to the dates. There will be a late night dinner stop for half an hour however we recommend you carry your own dinner. The buses are comfortable to sleep for most people.
Day 2: Mall road
Stop for breakfast en route & reach Manali after a journey of roughly 12 hours, check-in at the hotel & rest till evening 5 pm after the long journey. Overnight at Manali hotel. We will go for a walk to the Mall road to have dinner as per your choice (Own cost) / Alternatively you can stay back at the hotel and pre-order dinner in the room/restaurant.
Day 3: Baralacha La - Surajtal - Jispa
We start the day at 5 AM today as we have to cover a long distance to reach Baralacha La top where you will see snow, cover Surajtal lake & Deepaktal lake situated on the Manali - Leh route. We will have breakfast & lunch en route. Reach Jispa by evening and rest in your camps. Overnight at Jispa camps with bonfire. (Weather permitting)
(Please note we will take a packed breakfast which will be basic bread toast & fruits today)
The oxygen levels will drop at the lake and the Baralacha La. It is important to take preventive measures as far as Acute mountain Sickness is concerned. Reach out to your tour buddy if you need help or consult your doctor.
Day 4: Solang Valley & Old Manali
Post breakfast we leave back for Manali and will also visit Solang valley along with the amazing Atal tunnel which provides an alternate all-weather connection to Spiti valley and Leh from Manali. This is not just beneficial for travel enthusiasts, but a lifeline for our border forces and locals of Lahaul Valley. We will also visit Hidimba Temple in Old manali today followed by check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5: Vashist Village & Jogini waterfalls
Post breakfast, checkout from hotel and head to Vashisht Village. Here you can explore the village and the Vashisht Temple. There is also an optional hike to Jogini Waterfalls which takes approx 3 hours to finish.
Take evening volvo back to Delhi
Day 6: Early Morning drop to Delhi
