Sainj Valley Xmas Trip

Great Himalayan National Park in Himachal has numerous treks and trails which are unmatched in terms of natural flora & fauna. It has some unheard of waterfalls and some even compare the meadows here with Kashmir.

Day 0: Start from Delhi in the evening, we will stop at Murthal for dinner (Murthal is famous for food especially Parathas at Sukhdev Dhaba & many others like Mama Yadav, Gulshan & Ahuja) Not just parathas you get almost everything you want to eat and everything is amazing. After dinner, we continue our overnight journey towards Himachal.

Day 1: Stop for breakfast en route, Reach your homestay in Sainj Valley & check in. Rest of the day is free after the long journey. Explore the place at your own pace, snowfall experience is also expected this time around, the valley seems like a paradise when it snows. Enjoy the complimentary Bonfire.

Day 2:  Post breakfast we will head out to explore the Raila twin towers which have a rich history. Interact with locals and get to know their culture and how they brave the harsh conditions. We will also have a small hike to the Raila waterfall which freezes partially during winters. Back to your homestay by evening. It is BYOB Christmas eve, you can get your own booze from Delhi or buy local made Apple cider (Must Try).

Day 3: Today shall be a lazy morning, have a relaxed breakfast. Pack & leave to explore the Shangarh meadows which are often compared to Kashmir because of vast grasslands. We prefer to compare the natural beauty with our very own Kashmir instead of Switzerland because it seems we have many Switzerland in different parts of India. Leave for Delhi by evening.

(There is an optional river rafting which you can do from Bhuntar which is around 20 km from AUT tunnel. This will be chargeable and will only be done if the majority wants to. Your tour buddy will assist you with the applicable charges)

Day 4: Reach Delhi by morning & say goodbye to your new friends.
